Validation of rating - UK-issued license

Post by hibby »

My PPL(A) is issued by the CAA. In the next year or so I'll need to get my rating revalidated. Who can do this? Do I have to go to the UK?

Hi Hibby,
If your CAA PPL was issued under JAR then simply approach any Irish Examiner and he will revalidate/renew you as appropriate.

Thanks, both of you, for the helpful replies.

While an examiner will work .... any instructor authorised by the IAA to revalidate SEP ratings will do .... for example quite a few of the CFI around the country have this authorisation - I have mine renewed by the CFI in Limerick Flying Club ... then just post the details of to the CAA

Best regards neil
