Just a reminder folks that there is no Avgas available at EIAB. This has been the case for the last few months now and I dont think there is any immediate plans to refill the bowzer just yet.
    Credit crunch all 'round!!

    Avgas - EIKN

    by Atlantica » Wed Feb 11, 2009 3:07 pm

    Hi all,

There's lots of avgas at EIKN, why not pop over there for a few litres.

Just checked out the price there, it's €2.27 per litre (Incl VAT).

No need for avgas guys, planes will run on Poitín or moonshine no problem, there is tons of Poitín in the midlands. Haha

Just had a look at the general forcast for the Mullingar area which should be good for Abbeyshrule for Sun 1st Mar.

Mostly cloudy. Winds from the NNW at 9 km/h.Realfeel®:
    6 °C High: 7 °C some sunny spells

Looking OK for Sunday then if that forecast holds. Maybe some one
will put up an Aviation Forcast and see if it's anyway close.

    Hugo.

That forecast is as useful as a whole runway behind you. Never trust computerised forecasts....especially the ones from that site you used beginning with A. They're based solely on the GFS model, so if it is off then so is your forecast.

But let's wait and see how (in)accurate it does turn out to be. Or post that same forecast every day from now til then and see how much day to day variation is has....I reckon it'll be all over the place! :)

    WOW!

I did say it's a general forcast which is looking good for Sun 1st Mar.
I didn't say I was staking my life on it (or your's for that matter) or
the accuracy of that particular forecast. If you'er stupid enough to use
    for aviation, thats your problem. I never suggested that. :) :) :) :) :)
and there as useful as the forecast.

    Hugo.

    Hi all,

I'll be attending in EI-FII, thanks to Captain O'Connor at NFC for letting me borrow the plane for the day!

Excellent stuff mark, can't wait to see the 172RG.

I'll be up with EI-WFD, one of our new Tecnams. I'm hoping to arrive somewhere around 11am.

Must get the rag and polish out for the plane, might get an extra 2kts out of it

    :D

I am currently over from the UK in the sunny south east (!) sadly without the Cessna.

Just wondered if anyone in the local area (Waterford, SAAC, Kilkenny, Warrens, Newcastle etc) had a spare seat in the back of a plane to Abbeyshrule on Sunday. If not, I'll drive up from Gorey.

Happy to contribute to fuel etc.
