Birr muda triangle?
The Birrmuda triangle may or may not exist,
but paying for anything- Aviation - is one Big Black Hole.

In reply to Mr. Cross swords, (good pun!) I have many times flicked off the mags and dead sticked my machine as I did on Sunday, not at birr into a field but not a million miles away, it is not unusuall for someone to come running to see what is wrong, and it can cause alarm to the uninitiated-incidentally I’m not based at birr airfield and my wings are very still very firmly attached.
A friend told me a yarn once about Dublin gliding club, apparently on a cross country from gowran to Kilkenny our hero runs out of lift around bagnelstown and leisurely selects a nice stubble field to land in, no sooner has he come to rest when a farmer bursts through the hedge ands puts a welly through the canopy yelling “get out quick before she blows”
Buggy b- I flew a S10 some years ago, very sensitive in pitch but dog sluggish in roll, the 582 engine does not care which way is up. The fuel tanks have flexible pickups that flop around so they are always immersed in fuel.

What an interesting thread this is turning out to be

I haven't flown it myself but I've read that the stick forces are high enough in roll, and for that you only get 100 deg/sec, probably due to the roll inertia of the wing structure. Full span ailerons are standard but the aerodynamic spades are an optional extra. They are highly recommended and make it a lot easier to get full deflection when needed. It is possible to tame the pitch sensitivity a little too by adding ballast ahead of the firewall to bring the CG forward.

More Peter Wells in the Silence Twister
And here's one of my favourite aerobatic videos on Youtube even if not the most extreme... hard to imagine a better ad for the plane! Music isn't bad either...

I love this clip. It's a standard Mk 4 Kitfox speedster with a Rotax 912 flown well within its limits, all +g energy management stuff. This is not an aerobatic aircraft by any means. It is all the more incredible when you think that this aircraft has folding wings which are held on with two 3/8 inch gauge pins
Warning It is highly avisable to mute your speakers before clicking on the following link as the accompanying soundtrack is cringe-worthy, to say the least

Oh seriously.. sometimes I think youtube have a policy of not allowing flying vid uploads unless the soundtrack is crap. Look at this:

It's a rock remix

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Light aircraft design has not really come that far in the last 70 years...
