VFR Chart Ireland ?

Post by mrbungle »

I'm looking to buy a VFR Chart Ireland 1:500000, do NFC sell them ?
A laminate one would be handy.

I also heard there is an updated 2004 release due in September ??

Thanks.

I think you can obtain them from the IAA. They should also be able to advise you when the next revision is out.

Charts

Mr Bungle

Last time I got charts I rang AIS in Shannon (IAA distribution point). They do not take Credit cards. There was no requirement for advance payment. They sent me two charts (laminated and paper) overnight with invoice which I discharged upon receipt. Very easy casual and efficient.

Transair are superb for online ordering . Have bought several items. All have turned up within days. Just fill the forms, give credit card on secure link and hey presto! Very easy to navigate their wares and order. If there is alot of bulk to the order you can give say your work place address which speeds up the delivery process.

Happy shopping.

PS I have also used Sportys from the USA. Again no problems.

Charts may also be purchased directly from the Ordnance Survey offices in the Phoenix Park.

Why purchase them when you can get them free from the IAA!! The next edition isn't out until next February, so they are giving out the current edition for free.
