Information on George Wynne - Eyton

Hi guys,

I've received the following request if anyone can help? Reply, PM or email to mark at flyinginireland.com

------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Sir,
I have recently met on my travels in Canada, a lady, whose father, named above, was a flying instructor for an Irish flying club after World War II. He died in 1954 at the early age of 45, but I believe, not through a flying accident.
He was a production test pilot for Shorts of Belfast during the war for a time, and production tested the last Stirling bomber to leave the factory at Aldergrove in 1945.
I have very little to go on at this time, but, as a researcher and editor of our local Aviation Society, I told the lady that I would try and undertake some research for her and try and find out a little more about her father.
She has his flying log books in her possession, but does not, understandably, wish to part with them at this time.
Any information you may have of this ex- wartime pilot would be most appreciated.
My regards to you,
Peter
