Hi All,

Does anybody know how to create & send a flightplan to aisops@iaa.ie using just the blackberry :?:

My difficulty is in changing the "word" document each time

i know I could ring it in but it would be easier to email it!

Thanks

maybe i'm wrong, but i don't think shannon will except flightplans that are emailed to them.

the IAA website used to have an online flight plan form ,but they stopped this for security reasons i think and the same apply's to emailed flight plans.

faxed flight plans only ,they will except flight plans over the phone as well.

Hi O.W.

You may be thinking of the Online facility that was available via the IAA website that allowed you to submit via the website, this was taken down for "Security Reasons"

It is still perfectly acceptable to submit the word document by e-mail to AIS, I do it it all the time without any fuss from Shannon

The IAA accept Fpls by email to aisops@iaa.ie in either AFTN format or the word template. The service is limited in so far as they "only receive IT assistance between Mon-Fri 0900-1700. Therefore should an issue arise outside of these hours we have to wait for the next available working day before the issue can be resolved."
The internet service previously provided by the IAA for Fpl submission will not be reintroduced. There was an attack on the iaa website which resulted in the form being taken down.

I have an ICAO flight plan form in Word.doc format that Shannon, Heathrow etc have always accepted. I think I got it a couple of years ago from a Canadian Site. It is a fuller version than ours with a box for SAR, Pilot License Number etc. which you can ignore if you want.

Also means you can keep / update regularly used copies on the laptop

Happy to forward it on if you PM me with email address. Alternatively if Mark is interested I can forward it to him to host a copy as a download.
