Hi all,

Wondering does anyone have any information about this airfield ? I know Skydive Ireland operate from there. Is it open to non-based aircraft ? And who does one contact for PPR ?

Best Regards,
Flyer1.

Yup, 3.5nm south of it or something. The one you'll be looking down on ( minus the wings )

It's in Kevin Glynn's flight guide page 43 which states:
Visitors Welcome with PPR by phone
Tim Hanley 087-2346022 or
Padraic Hanley 087-9884240
runway 06/24 700m Grass
Marked wires on approach to runway 24 2k from threshold.

Regards
Hugo.

They recently (Hanlys) put some hardcore down to strenghten the ground.

There is a C177 operating out of there, I believe it has a cruise prop fitted so anything with a climb prop should have no bother getting in and out.

Give the boys a ring before you arrive though - there is sometimes various livestock keeping the grass low!
