Here's a photo of Trim, Co. Meath balloon pilot Pauline Baker in G-CEHX, a tiny Lindstrand LBL9A balloon taken recently in Switzerland on her way to breaking the female AX-1 World duration and altitude records. The dry weight of the whole balloon *and* pilot including empty fuel cylinder is 75kg. The envelope is made from a mylar composite and weighs 9kg. The internal water vapour cannot permeate the material hence the escaping steam seen coming out of the envelope mouth and up the outside in the photograph. After landing, the internal temperature passes the dew point and around 8kg of water condenses inside into puddles, purely as a result of the propane combustion.

Crikey, she is a LOT braver then me. I think I would be scared witless so high up perched on such a small seat.

Just followed the link to find out that Pauline landed almost in father in laws back yard at Saanen. Wonder if he invited her in for coffee.World sure is shrinking

Haha, just out of pure curiosity I saw her at a show and asked what farmers thought of her landing on their property (since the C152 wouldnt be too welcome), she said they normally provide a lift, cup of tea and lunch - I'm in the wrong end of aviation!
