    Digitised Topo Maps of Ireland?

    by TrickyDicky » Mon Jan 15, 2007 4:12 pm

    Hi all,
Anybody know if there are any digitsed versions of Irish Topo maps available. What I would like is 1:250,000 or 1:50,000.
The aim would be to put them on a PDA for moving map both in the air and on the hoof!
    Any ideas would be great.

TD, scan em, then put them onto the PDA. Chap here has the same thing done with his PDA, and he plugs a GPS aerial into his PDA and then you had a GPS on the standard map.

The OS do have digitised maps however they are quite expensive to purchase. Very high detail down to 1:25,000. Scanning option may not work out too well if the scales are not exactly the same
