Im pretty sure the trip was cancelled - possibly due to weather forecast but I dont know for definite :(

EDIT: Seems like they were after the weather, but the aircraft went tech in Toulouse so the plan was scrapped.

i went up for a nose the other night and hadn't a clue what was going on until i saw lots and lots of cars arrive.TV3 etc were there, but that was probably to report the first jumbo jet in ireland or some crap like that, anyway at 8 o' clock the word got around that it was tech in toulouse.I got the impression that there was people there from northern ireland etc.massive crowd.

Wow that is impressive.Nice series of pics. Interesting to note that the aircraft back-tracked.Does this indicate that the taxiway is unsuitable???

"a few women there though it was going to crash!!!! "

Because the men being all knowing in all things aviation were expecting the aircraft to bank to 45 degrees plus on take off. Dont get me wrong Dutchie old boy Im a man, but dammit I've seen the pics and my heart would have skipped a beat. And so did yours I'm sure.
