The happiest ATC on the planet

    by ned78 » Thu Jun 08, 2006 4:46 pm

I'm fully convinced the happiest ATC is working on Approach in Cork. He's there 30 years apparently, but I was up in EIDJY on Saturday last week, and he sounded like he'd won the lottery. Nothing was too much trouble, everthing was really cheery. Made flying that day so much more enjoyable.

Cecil is one of the guys working in the tower and has been there for years. He is very friendly and as you said, always sounds in the best of moods :)

There is another guy there aswell, not sure of the name and he is extremelly friendly aswell, Again, he has been there for many years now.

Paul Walsh is the best guy ever. He was so nice to me on my first solo.

I think that one of the guys at EICK is called Joe and his traffic controlling has been compared to an 'orchestra' - and I agree. Incredible.
The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no.

You should tell them about this thread then, I am sure they would be flattered.
We who fly do so for the love of flying. We are alive in the air with this miracle that lies in our hands and beneath our feet.

Yeah, Laura Joe is actually a really sound guy... I've met him in person when I got a tour of the tower, really nice guy..
