LogSource Update

Post by ceatach » Tue Jan 10, 2006 5:54 pm

Hi Ive just released a new version of the software with some good updates.
- keep track of day and night to's / landings
- add arbitrary flags to your flights to seperate instructional flights etc..
- facility to manually edit the entire database
- Ability to import existing data into the new database so you existing users dont have to type everything out again...

Also,
I am provisionally releasing the wiki here before I release it into the search engines and other sites... The wiki is the website for logsource whose pages anyone can edit. The idea is to build up an aviation knowledge base a bit like wikipedia. Users can stores backups of their log there, use the facilities like article submission/viewing, chat rooms, games, image galleries, links directory, newsletters, calendar management, notepad, quizzes and forums etc...

The forum here works quite well so Im not trying to replace it - its a great forum, but feel free to use the other facilities...
There are a couple of short quizzes on the wiki if anyone wants to try.. Or create your own quiz for others...

heres all the links:
the wiki is at:

www.logsource.org/wiki

New releases of sofware are at:

the patch for v0.1.1 to v0.1.2 is at http://http://sort.ucd.ie/frs/download. ... tch123.zip

I assume you are installing it for the first time. (not running the patch)
So,

save http://sort.ucd.ie/frs/download.php/126 ... rce123.zip
to your computer. It is zipped so you need to unzip it.
right click it and select 'extract to'. Tell it where to extract the files.

then... run setup.exe
