Any help appreciated,

At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious would a quick call to the IAA be the best bet of finding out? They are very friendly and courteous any time I have called them.

Hi Patrick.
Umm, did you send the medical cert & results with an application for a license? As cosmic said, the intuitive thing to do is to ring the IAA. Ask for licensing and they should be able to give you the status of your application... :?

But yeah, if you're gonna be flying around up there with us then it would be nice to know that you can solve these trivial problems yourself... not meaning to sound cruel or anything...

Patrick. I said it in a jokey sort of way, don't take it too seriously?

I am just suprised that you would post on an internet forum asking us why the IAA have not been in touch with you. Would it not be more efficient to cut out the middle man and call them?

From my interpretation of Patrick's question, he was just asking it to find out anyone else's experiences in the same situation before making the call as a last resort. He probably just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced delays before bothering the IAA.

This seems like the correct place to ask a question like that too without getting roasted :-)

Hope I am right infering your are talk is about a Student Licence.

If you sent IAA

a copy of your Med Cert and any support you were told to send

the form completed

the cash due

You should have had very good response : call if more than 10 days

If on the other hand you are not applying for a license at the moment, then I dont know why you would send anything off to the IAA. When I done my Class 2 down in Waterford, the doc gave me my medical cert. Didn't have to send anything off to IAA.
