There is a movement restriction at Kilrush!! thats why you will never see a FTO/RTF based there.
A typical ploy by the same County Council that stopped the Airshow at Punchestown.

Red Bull Air Race Cancelled (Petersburg)

The Red Bull Air Race due to take place yesterday 17/06/06 at Petersburg was cancelled 15/06/06.
The reason given was very similar to the Punchestown Airshow!!
"last minute delays concerning local authority permissions"
It looks like this disease is spreading through out Europe :cry:

I HAVE SPOKEN TO A FRIEND IN PUNCHESTOWN ABOUT THIS AND HE INFORMS ME THAT THE COUNCIL WOULDNT MAKE A JUDGEMENT ON IT FOR WEEKS AND THE ORGANISERS BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO HELP IT IS A SHAME THAT THIS WAS LET HAPPEN AND A DECISION WAS MADE SO LATE. Jesus Guys ur talkin about LGW how about our own EIWT, last year parking fees for the year went from 4.5k to 20k for a light single? thats a classic example of rip off ireland where it is supposed to be GA friendly!

MAYBE THE ORGANISER FROM THE SALTHILL SHOW COULD POST RE STAGING COSTS ETC AND HOW A FREE EVENT CAN BE RUN.
DO THEY GET FUNDING ASSISTANCE FROM THE COUNCIL, DO THEY PAY FOR GARDAI,FIRE BRIGADE,EVENT MANAGEMENT FEES.
