Re: Aviators Guide to Ireland

Thanks - we appreciate your support. Certianly seen a few late nights, and the sun come up once or twice. Learned a good bit along the way and considering it was a two day a week effort since Feb, we are happy with the way it turned out. There are more books and DVDs in the pipeline, and we are by n...

Re: Plane Wash EI-NC

Tried out the lads in Newcastle for the airplane wash. Given there was inches of cow dung and line mark ingrained into the underside, wings and tail it really was a test. Gar spent an hour at it, and I was really pleased with the result. He got all the dirt off it, and I hardly knew it after. For a ...

Re: Aviators Guide to Ireland

Roger - and other customers, The books you have ordered and paid for will be shipped. However, myself & Lorcan have both been put on notice to expect solicitors letters from a firm in Lougrea representing a client in the area, who claims our publication is a direct reproduction of another. Unfortuna...

Re: 50/100 Hr & CofA Rates

Not qualified to answer EASA questions, but an N reg annual is €400 pa for a fixed gear inspection. Labour rates for A&P's to perform the maintenance tasks vary from £20 in IOM to €55+ ph here. If you look at labour rates charged by franchised car garages I guess the rates are fair. In terms of EASA...

Re: Aviators Guide BONUS - Garmin GDB file

Just tweaked that you can open a Garmin GDB file in Google Earth, which makes the download a useful part of your flight planning routine. Or simply an interesting virtual tour of the destinations now available in the book.

Re: Aviators Guide to Ireland

Thanks for the positive feedback JFH, inverted & Hugo. The book required lots energy, fuel and airtime to get this far. The copies you received are from the initial print run, and a larger run is being delivered next week. Only some minor tweaks, a few of the photos changed and some "school teacher"...
