I'm impressed with the B727 at 5.44!
Reminds me a bit of the low passes of a Ryanair BAC 1-11 at EIAB back in the late 80's.

Weston based PBY Catalina

I've just been reading on another forum that the PBY Catalina (VP-BPS) that had resided at EIWT has been cut up for scrap. Seems an awful shame the the aircraft couldn't have been saved. I wonder if the Buccaneer will suffer the same fate?

Re: Irish Air Corps Air Ambulance involved in accident today

Yep..the skids took a pounding, obviously a high vertical decent rate. I'm surprised that the rotor didn't come in contact with the tail boom...must be a pretty rigid system. I too can't see it being repaired, so unless the IAC switch to using an AW139 for the role I can't see how a single EC135 (wi...

Re: Irish Air Corps Air Ambulance involved in accident today

Three crew members were uninjured after an Aer Corps air ambulance was forced to make a heavy-landing in County Tipperary earlier today. The incident happened near the town of Borrisoleigh at around 3pm. Emergency services remain at the scene. It's unclear what happened to the helicopter - an EC135...

Re: Vertex VXA 300

If you want to get in some RT practice without the costs of real world flying might I suggest that you pick up a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator X and join the virtual ATC network at http://www.vateir.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

As impressive a sight it must have been to see the Twin Otter operating at low level....the sight of the BT-67 (turbo prop DC-3) over the last couple of years was much better!
