Buying a GPS

Hi Folks, I was wondering if anybody had any advise on which of the current batch of aviation GPS's are worth looking at to buy. The Garmin Aera 500 / 550 series seem to be pretty good according to reviews I have read. The 550 is a bit on the expensive side - getting very near the €1,000 mark. Has a...

Re: Little old lady is plane crazy

Hi JFH, Its a very clever advertising campaign by someone - I would suspect its the National Lotto. Last week there was a similar story about a little old lady driving a Lamborghini, worth €1.5 million, to her local post office. The 2 pieces in the paper looked like a journalistic piece but have sli...

Re: Plane in Roscommon

Hi buggyB and Jim,

I don't know the Roscommon area, but the plane is parked infront of a 'Manor Style' house which sits back in off the road, just opposite Hannon's Hotel on the Athlone road. (Just when you are leaving the Roscommon Town 60km zone).

Cheers,

Mixturerich.
