General conversions are obviously required if you havent flown a craft and been rated on it. Funny you should mention it, a few mates and myself were contimplating getting the cash together to get one up and running there a while back now, fair play to the people of the island, and I will certainly be a flyer to the field, beach or mountain slope strip!

How about doing a base swap with Weston, the traffic from the airfield would be reduced, and Baldonnel could cater for all transport!

(I forgot about the heritage and cultural thing on this one didnt I)...

Even with flaps, and immediate full throttle; using flight sim (oh the accuracy), nadah, Weston per runway 890m won't do it in anyway safe, nothing operates into Abbeyshrule as such, I Hope...

*Edit* - Ok, maybe it will, not very safely though, and 790m won't!
