Hiya, I'm not 100% sure if its DJO that is going down there. I was talking to my friend yesterday who is neighbours with this guy (in Kilquade) and he says there hasn't been much activity in a while. Personally I've only seen the helicopter land once (from the road, it just went straight by us!). Ch...

Greystones activity

Hiya guys, Does anyone know for sure why so many helicopters are around Greystones these days? I presume its due to the huge residential place in Charlesland, but every day theres R22s and A109s going back and forth all day (to Leopardstown I heard on the scanner). Earlier today I saw two R22s flyin...

Clonbullogue could also be a nice venue? I know people there, and they are extremely friendly, no charges for landing whatsoever, and they have their own clubhouse with resteraunt. I've never been to Abbeyshrule though, and I myself fall into the cyclist category (ie. no plane) so if anyone wants to...

Hi ei 6265 permission was granted for the event in mid Jan from BTC, and we are looking at using both Weston and Newcastle for civil acts and I still have to talk to E. Hopkins re Newcastle. Buzz, Brian Mc Grath was of great help (and still is) and support on the Bray Airshow, and I fully admire wh...

Holy moly! I am ashamed as a Greystones man to say I have never heard of an airshow at Bray! I recall someone saying last year they saw an Air Corps plane flying around the seafront, but to know theres a small airshow! Dave - when did this start? And by any chance do the aircraft take-off from Newca...

Aerial Pics of Airfields (EICL, EICM and EICA)...

Hi all, I flew from EICL (Clonbullogue) to EICA (Connemara) and back again last year, so just thought Id share some aerial shots of the airfields I got on my journeys Note: The quality may be poor as theyve been reduced from 1600 x 1200 pixels to 500 pixels in width and also compressed to make loadi...

Hiya,

Yep they are canadian F-18s and were flying across Atlantic when their refuelling aircraft experienced 'technical faults' so they had to make an emergency divert to Shannon.

They are due to depart sometime tomorrow...(Sunday)
