Re: Chipmunk 169

Any idea why the early roundel was only two colours - was it pragmatic or aesthetic?

Re: Letterkenny Airfield Status

yeah, I could but; notice periods, gar forms, flight plans, yada, yada - could I be bothered? :-)

A small jerry-can top up would be all I need. I'll review closer to the time.

Thanks again.

Re: Letterkenny Airfield Status

Hi Nick,

Thanks for that contact info.
570m grass sounds comfortable for plane and pilot.
Did you happen to notice if they had av/mogas up there?

Letterkenny Airfield Status

Hi Guys, Does anyone know what the status of the airfield is in Letterkenny. According to the Letterkenny Flying Club website the club "has moved from the origional field in Letterkenny and it is no longer in use." Anyone got the skinny as I may have to head up that way and flying is much more appea...

Re: Weston into receivership

Positive spin? I suppose you could call it that but I guess its a different viewpoint. As a business why can't it survive? It has a great location, a huge population in its catchment area and few competitors. As part of a property group, it may have been hampered but with a receiver treating it as a...

Re: Weston into receivership

Weston may or not be able to make a dent in the debts of the Mansfield group but as a business concern there's certainly no reason why it shouldn't survive. HUM,

Pass on our congratulations to Andrew - Helena and I have fond memories of a very wet PFA rally in Kemble talking with Andrew and others and remember his enthusiasm for the -7 while I was looking at the Tecnam. We're delighted to see him achieve his goal!!

Re: Accident Reports – a transparency issue?

If this is accurate, I find it deeply disturbing.

Not only will such practices undermine any attempt to foster a culture of safety it will, at some point, cause any early link in someone's accident chain.
