47k is very tempting! Sister got her letter yesterday.

Anybody know what the competition is like and how many controllers they're looking for? I heard that the last batch were pulled from the course before they completed it so reckon they'll have a head start.

For RAF you need to be resident for 5 years or so, applied for this before but they wouldn't even send me an application because I wasn't living there, unless you have something else sorted?? Pllus there's a chance of active service as opposed to fishery protection! Have heard of no cadetship scheme...

It's all a matter of money! Thank's for the link mr crow but I think Bristol looks better for the DL, In my opinion anyway (it has shiny pictures! ) just hoping Sigmar re open it in the "month or so" so I don't have to fork out a load of cash going to Engerland. Same plan 747, reckon most ...

I've seen one army jumper up there that trains civies, he brought me on my first jump! uses his army jumping gear and all but I've not heard of them or seen them training officially at Clonbullogue. They do static line from the 172s and HALO etc. from the CASA, this can be done pretty much anywhere ...
