In the uK there is a website (G-INFO aircraft database) which even lists airframe times on individual aircraft. I was just wondering if there is a similar site that rpovides this information on the Irish scene? Anyone know? Bolkow, sadly as far as I know there is not a similar Irish site to G-INFO....

from the detail I observed and the dating that helicopter is EI-BDI, lost off Donegal shortly after the Papal visit in 1979 when the pilot made an eroor is fuel selection. Yea, she has been out and about doing some training flights. The pilots have visited many of the lighthouses around the coast to allow the lighthouse crews become familiar with this new machine. Don't know how many hours are on it though. She officially started work with the CIL today. The Bolkows ...

It on next Monday 17th Nov. Actually if you look at the helicopter prison break escapes page on Wikipedia you will see this was the first escape using a helicopter but by no means the last. There is one french dude who escaped at least three times using this method. Brass balls I guess. HELICOPTERS...
