Localiser...........I understand what your saying and it is true in some cases with other flying schools,

BUT...having done my PPL with EFT I can safely say their PPL is taught to a commercial standard

Hi andy can you give me an indication of overall costs, i have 30hours but am encountering the same problems with cancellations. is 3 weeks un realistic for a ppl, even with 30 hours. Regards colin what kind of extra costs were there involved apart from the flying OK you need accomodation......575d...

I did my PPL in Florida...saved 3000EURO.

I got fed up having lessons cancelled because of weather so made the decision to go to Florida..back home after 6 weeks with a PPL

Anybody know anything about the 172's I have been seeing alot lately in Dublin?.
Working on the Ramp I have noticed an increase recently.
Are the private flights or the Dublin flying school?

There is some truth to that. When I did my PPL in Florida I was taught to first listen for the sound of the engine for a given RPM then check/glance at the gauge. This keeps your head out the window longer.....especially important for VFR flying

The heli landed in my friends back garden in Dunboyne. Have not heard of any aircraft down at all. I dont know anything further on it other than what you typed.

What difficulty has the IAA got converting liscence's? Its probably only as simple as them being the Irish aviation authority Also, the general concensis on PPRuNe is that all people with tatoos are criminals or are out to commit criminal activity........ True that. Why would they pick someone who has a tatoo showing when they can get someone equally qualified with no tatoo. It's hard enough to get a job these days. thats like saying why would they hire a black person when they have an equally qualified white person! Its totally stupid and biased Lo...
