A construction worker has died today while working on the new baggage hall section at Pier C. Our thoughts go out to his family at this time.

ha ha yes the press always make out that the aircraft was in grave danger. Its funny to read. Its more annoying to think that the general public who know little of aviation read such stupid headlines and form an opinion that flying is just not safe!

you can get a class 2 medical here in Ireland under the IAA and it will be accepted for your CAA PPL...and yes your exams will need to be done under the CAA. Like you I got tired of having lessons cancelled because of weather and went to Florida. Have a read of this thread all about my time in Flori...

many Aer Lingus captains are female so I dont think that sort of thing goes on.

Maybe by some "old school" pilots i.e. male pilots over 55.

3 hours a month..........your looking at 2 years to complete your PPL

Thats very little flying to be of any use. You will only end up continuously repeating/re-learning what you did a week or two ago...which will end up costing you even more money and time
