Re: NFC ATPL Theory

I think you're going about your decision making all wrong. I did Bristol and I thought they were excellent. Great software package, backup support and the lecturers were excellent during the brush-ups. Bristol will teach you to pass the exam, and I assure you that's more important than knowing sylla...

Hour building blog

Hey all, I'm currently in Phoenix, Arizona at the moment doing a bit of hour building. I've decided to overcome my inability to spell and form grammatically correct sentences by blogging the experience. So, don't expect the Daily Star type quality, but it maybe of interest to someone who's planning ...

Re: From Prague to Dublin - continuation of PPL course

I had a similar issue but moving from Ireland to Luxembourg. As stated in the previous comment they won't accept the theory. It ended up being such a hassle that I took a couple of weeks off work and finished at home in Ireland. I had soloed, about 35hours total and a good chunk of my cross country ...

I see Cityjet just announced some sort of cadetship, check their site. You have to be quick though the deadline is the Friday. Course starts in June I think.

Re: Airspace Changes Dublin - December 13th 2012

I could never understand why Irish airports need so much controlled airspace. Do they think they're special or something? Shannon and Cork are ones that always irritated me what the hell do they need 30nm diameter of sfc class c for? That's more than Heathrow 24nm X 16nm!! Have we got some sort of f...

Re: Skyvector Worldwide

It certainly is pilot, but I suspect they'll iron a lot of it out in the future, even with everything in place I'd still draw the lines on a real map before going flying to be honest. But when your dreaming up a trans continental trip it's much easier to mess around on these things the go down and s...

Skyvector Worldwide

Hi guys, Just spotted that skyvector is looking to broaden it's horizon beyond the USA. Very helpful when day dreaming in "work" about where to go flying. :) Probably best not to rely on it for actual flight planning. ;) I've spotted one or two mistakes already, but I guess it is Beta mode. Anyway, ...

Re: [HD Video] Flying in the USA

Hey Aidoair, Thanks for that yeah was expecting a checkride alright. I understand you have the FAA license but have you any ideas how the Foreign license verification system works, I've just sent off the Verification of Authenticity of Foreign License form. Is it just a matter of going to the FSDO, ...

Re: [HD Video] Flying in the USA

Hey guys, Great videos, I'm thinking of doing a trip very similar to Killianaeros, flying out to LAX in December and thinking of hiring a plane for a week either from LA or San Fran. Just wondering where you rented from and if you've any tips for the trip. I was thinking of Lake Tahoe as a possible ...

Re: PTC Florida shut down by FIT

The thing that interests me is how the company was loosing money charging nearly 90000euro per student. If you or me can manage it for 50000. That's 40000euro difference, and say they've 80 odd students that leaves over 3million extra they're charging than what me you and 78 other modular students w...

Re: PTC Florida shut down by FIT

Not looking good, hopefully these guys get there money back, but unfortunately they broke the cardinal rule and gave money upfront. It's so easy to get sucked in by the flying school ********. These guys are great at giving a marketing pitch, but I guess they have to be if they are going to get a hi...
