I remember it well. If it's any consolation I still take ages to read the checklist after all these years. Then I can't reach the keys on the glareshield because I strapped myself in too tight. The truth is that it's probabley quicker to memorise the checks than having to read the list all the time....

You may or may not be right vic. But as I see it a number of difficulties would arise for Weston to become a mostly jet field. One, there is no instrument approach. As it is right now Weston is a strictly VFR field. An ILS at least would be needed. It's possible a cloud break procedure could be used...

So incisor, how did the instructors (and me) get their licences then? I never had a problem with them and KO'C did me some favours in my time and I think I still owe him money. You can't expect an Oxford or a Jerez in this country. The truth is that there is no market for a fully fledged RTF school ...
