Well... its about time ! May go somewhat towards helping with the half harted approach the IAA had towards Microlight licencing. Wonder did they seek any advice from the NMAI regarding this? or is it published to suit themselves? Time will tell I guess, if its good enough then we will see many more ...

Because of this nonscence we havent visited the islands during 2012 at all, first year since I began flying years ago, the Islands were a regular overnight stop for our group every year but this year we went north... so far Islay in Scotland as well as Jura and Glenforsa for overnighter trips. Still...

My suggestion....ship all the lads in ATC out to Oshkosh Tower for the convention in late July......"see the light...end of problem"....might have to give them a few Valium to take care of the shock.....!!... :roll: Or even on a smaller scale, take them across the water to Popham in late May, could...

And you can call into Aldrogrove anytime, an airport probably more active than Dublin and be accommodated without a blink of an eye.
Ireland, strange little country indeed..... no wonder its fu***d !

Its never ever been busy when we went there, and that includes the height of summer!... in fact the only planes I've seen there is ours! We always go as a group of planes and have something to eat at the golfclub..(great food, recommended!) Its a shame that it isn't used more, in a beautiful part of...

Its just a large field ! Easy enough found, look for the graveyard and the golfclub, its between them. Been in there often for a meal, but flying a microlight and no problems at all.... not sure about the 172, someone with experience of such no doubt will advise better. Lovely place and we be there ...
