All planned to go.... westerely front bringing through low cloud and constant drizzle.... stuck in Letterkenny until it lifts... if it passes by 5pm we will still make the trip and overnight there.

Never lifted at all Saturday in Letterkenny...... Could not get airborne at all....and we had planned 3 aircraft for Waterford...weather is the uncontrollable variable,... Yesterday (Sunday) was fine..made it to the fly-in in Islay in Scotland.

Yes, Letterkenny went ahead as planned, we run the event each year for the aviation & wider community.... residents near the field, local business persons e.t.c. to thank them for their support and understanding. We had over 200 souls here last night and got finished up about 2:30am... great nig...

Of which I am a member.... doesn?t mean that we cant be a member of yet another association... like the BMAA and the PFA of which I am also a member.... they do not state that you ned to hold a licence or even be in training to avail of membership... Still think that NASRAV need to address this issu...

The strip has a turning circle at both ends..... the grass runway was cut this week and is in a servicable condition..... it is "softer" than we would like and hopefully the weather will improbve over the next week or so. A call on the radio (129.55) and we will tell you if it is fully usa...

Just confirmed quite a lot of guys from the UK coming over... weather permitting.
Should be a good weekend, if the weather holds out.... anyone intending to come can book B&B?s from club members, details on the website.

And the licence on the application form makes no mention of the NPPL(m), this licence is the licence that the majority of the Microlight pilots fly with, inc myself... Have brought back aircraft from the UK, both flying and on trailers.
