Re: Skycatcher bites the dust

It was doomed the minute they decided to put a "gas guzzler" under the hood. The 912/914 series engine was the way to go. I'm afraid the Europeans are showing them how they should make it. (Just look at their cars, complete rubbish when compared to European cars). The microlight/LSA types are the fu...

Re: NMAI Chairman stands aside

May I take this opportunity to thank Paul for everything he has done for microlighting in this country. He is supremely knowledgeable about everything related to our sport. I sincerely hope that he will return to a role in our governing body once all matters are resolved. Thank you Paul, I know I sp...

Re: 2013 Finn Valley Flying Club Fly-in/BBQ for charity.

We had a great event, thanks to Gerry Humphreys, the IAA and to every single person who helped out on the day. Thanks to everyone to contributing to the charity which was "our Ladys hospital for sick children Crumlin". We raised a bit over €2500 for them. Pictures of some of the members and youtube ...

IAA & Others, a word of thanks.

Friday morning I awoke to a call informing me of a problem relating to our fly-in which we held on Saturday last. Basically it was a paperwork issue that required resolving. I prepared said paperwork and emailed it off to the IAA offices before 9am. I called the offices as they opened and had a swif...

Re: Aviation House Names

Built my house in 1999, there has been flying in one guise or another around here since the 1980's.
There are 4 airfields within spitting distance !...and I called my house "GLENAVI" seeing that we are a glen full of aviators !

In particular the money will go towards the St John’s Cancer Ward Renovation and also towards the New Critical Cardiac Care Unit. A lot of money has already been rais...

Re: TRA for G8 summit Enniskillen 16 - 18 Jun 2013

Ger / Mark / everyone,
There is a much better map and detail provided by the CAA than this attempt by the IAA.
It details the area and covers the surrounding area much much better.
I have uploaded it to our site and can be found HERE
