Will do, had great fun last year, spent a lot of time annoying John Travolta. Have a lot of video footage of his B707 and house. Im sure he'll be glad if he knew I was on my way back!!! :D

No, going to do 100 hrs hour building for the atpl. have a new liberty booked out for 17 days. Was there last year, great place had a super time.

I agree with seamus, there is a lot envolved. Also you will find it very difficult to rent an aircraft for a weekend if your are only going to fly a few hours. There is no operator out there who will want to let their aircraft away for a few days especially when it will be just parked in the UK. The...

The microlight rating seems to be a grey area alright. The information I was given seems to be that one can't apply a microlight rating to the UK PPL..... the IAA told me that if I want to fly here I will have to convert my licence to an Irish licence and then apply the rating!!! All very confusing.

So if you live in Ireland and have a uk ppl, do you need a microlight rating? And if so, can you do your rating here with Ultra Flight and apply it to your UK ppl?

One thing to remember about a microlight for anyone thinking about going on to do an ATPL is that the hours do not count!!
