Correct, on engine start up one of the engine driven hyd systems can power the other through the power transfer unit or PTU. It protects the hyd in the event of an engine failure i.e. you can run the two main engine driven systems on just one engine via this link. it does make a bit of a racket on s...

RV I am not going to waste any more time answering your silly attempts at a personal attack. You have nothing to say that's relevant to the topic so why not let the others who have, use the valuable bandwidth. In your last post you said "My sentiments exactly....focused on the issue" and then make a...

RV-BLUE Your style of debate is akin to a snotty nose school boy who just can't think of anything to say. The chip on each shoulder shows you are, at least, a well balanced individual! Please don't stop posting, this is the best laugh I have had in ages.

RV-BLUE if you don't want to take part in an informed discussion thats ok, but to cover your ignorance on the subject with abuse is just childish. Your previous posts and attempts to discredit me are well noted but sadly wide of the mark. If you don't agree with me thats one thing but dont try to ma...

No time to go into detail but it's another il-informed post on the boeing/airbus competition. If you bother to read the facts then you can't stand over most of your statements. As someone who is in an airline actively talking to both companies, about a long haul fleet replacement, I can tell you the...

How can you say the A350 is rushed when it is not even built yet and if you care to read FI it says Airbus are going to delay so they can include the A380 flight deck. As for the market showing that the 787 is superior, where is the evidence? The great build off between these two aircraft has not st...

Not sure where you got the info about the 350 being a polished 330. The A350 is due to have all the bells and whistles of the A380. It will have a higher MTOW by 15 tonnes than 330. It will have class3 electronic flight bag and a brake to vacate system which means you tell it which exit you want to ...

I'm really not sure where to start with the comments you just made. The best one is the 800's fly themselves bit. I can assure the 800 like any other automated aircraft only do what they are told to do and if you give it the wrong info then it WILL bite you. I have flown many thousands of hours on B...

RV You said Its a well known fact that 99% of the flying public is only concerned about how cheaply and fast they can get to thier destination I think you will find most people want to get there in one piece before they concern themselves with speed or price. They assume the crew are capable of doin...

I would base my 'Eurojet' (don?t think that is/has been used???) in Brussels, one of the few big cities without a LCC.

I think Virgin Express might be more than a little surprised to hear that!

Having leased one of its A320s from Air Jamaica, Eirjet decided to change the aircraft's instrumentation to the metric system I have a feeling this has to do with the fact the aircraft previously had the fuel system in pounds and Eirjet converted it to Kilos. In the USA the FAA require the former a...

It must be a VERY small ULD to fit in a 320 hold. Never heard of anyone using them (been flying airbus for 9yrs now). But I suppose you could put one in a seminole if you really wanted to!

Think you will find the 319 and 320 are also bulk loaded! ULD's used from 321 upwards on the bus.
