Iolar and Chipmunk 169 in formation over Lough Foyle last weekend.

In 169's case, the paintwork was based on original drawings, old photographs and plenty of consultation with the IAC, de Havilland sources, various historians and so on. I understand that Irish displays are being discussed, but nothing confirmed at this stage.

If conditions allow, it is hoped that the aircraft will be permanently based in Ireland.

Dublin Flyers have an Arrow 200 based at Weston. Membership is required, but the aircraft can be flown at very good hourly rates and availability isn't usually an issue.

A big thanks to Eddie, Anto, Johnny, Gerry and Dave (and anyone else involved) for a great event at Newcastle today. Excellent briefings and organisation was top-class.
