Re: Aviators guide OR Kevin Glynn VFR Flight guide.
Buy the two of them. It's a labour of love, and it cost me more in fuel than what I ever sold! I would sooner do a fresh guide for some other country or another aviation niche, so it will be a collectors item in time to come. If you are going to use it in anger then its worth buying for the marking ...

Re: your choice of SEP aircraft
The easiest one to re-sell would be a could place to start as you may not want to keep it afterwards. The easiest aircraft to sell by a country mile is a Cessna 152. That's all the free advice I can give!

Re: Galway Zone
Useful point Brian. I would have one caveat I may add. There is a right to renew a lease after 5 years operating a business, but not a right to renew a sublease. Lots of airports are not operated by the freeholder and thus the operator is merely granting subleases to the various users on the field o...

Re: Pilot Magazine March 2014
Aircraft looked good in the mag for sure. It was a cool paint scheme. The poor 150 is getting a hard time at the moment.... The Reims Aerobat can take off from almost any field, fly in IMC and at night, do quite an impressive aero display (John Harper in CTI was pretty amazing to watch) then land at...

Re: General info needed by experienced ppl(m) holder
If cost is an issue, I would consider getting a credit union or bank loan for it and perhaps do it in the states and knock it out in one go. The FAA licence is under estimated, as it's not in anybodies interest here to promote it but it will allow you to fly Group A, Turbines, Annex II and Microligh...

Re: Usher Aviation Ireland
Mmmm, I think to be fair Barry had sold that business to NAAS and it was their decision what to do with it. I wouldn't disagree that it could have been handled better from a PR/relationships point of view. In spite of that the guys there, Sasha and Nigel James who are great aircraft technicians - ha...

Re: low level
Perhaps... Low level = out of VHF range = saving ATC repeated calls to that aircraft = less congestion on airwaves. Just one explanation. There could be many more instances of verbiage pointed out "at this time" which "currently" could be dealt with by simply understanding the differences between af...

Re: Fly-Out to the LAA Rally Sywell Aug 30th - Sep 1st
I'm booked into Sywell for Friday. I was going to go via Arklow, then to Shobdon for Tay. Onto Sywell then. Not sure about the Belfast bit, sure they don't know they're over water do they?

Re: Speed Twin aerobatic Display at Shannon
That speedtwin looks like the coolest thing ever. Aerobatic, multi, tailwheel, short fielder with a stick and two seats. Would be some toy to have. The performance looks amazing, and the systems quite clever. The little servos on the bottom of the fuselage quite novel indeed. The other one with the ...

Re: Taildragger/grass strip course
Hear the lads in EINC have a good machine alright with 180hp. They also operate with a cub in EITT doing differences training. Also good. Take your pick and maybe learn a bit from them all. Stick and rudder is a must read for the wheeler landings. No point in being one of those "half a tailwheel pil...

Then again even a Twin Comanche can visit many of them safely......

Re: Share for sale in a Cessna C182S based in EIAB,year 2000
I can vouch that it is indeed a super aircraft, and offers serious performance for anyone looking to push past basic PPL flying. The avionics and autopilot are superb, and it can handle serious weather. I remember being out flying it it with a group member, and a tree blew down on the road when I wa...

Hi, While it's a few years since it's publication there is still reasonable demand for the publication. We're making an eBook version, and we were going to make some amendments to things like frequencies, phone numbers and circuit joins. We'll amend anything listed on the website http://www.flightgu...
