Planning permission is being sought for a new Air Traffic Control facility for Cork Airport. The proposed development is to be places north-west of runway 17/35, separate from all other airport buildings. I received this from Mr. Kevin Cullinane, Marketing Manager, Cork Airport, yesterday: Expressio...

There were reportedly larger aircraft using 25 for takeoff and landing during the recent windy weather. Didn't witness it myself (unless a Citation counts) but heard one Aer Lingus flight request 25 for takeoff over the scanner and heard of numerous others. Sooo, with such a strong crosswind there's...

Thats a good idea, the only thing is that if you hide the forum publically would the spam also not be able to access it? Or would it just get con...

On occasion even bigger aircraft like B737's and before BAC 1-11's regularly used 07/25 at Cork. A runway extension for this is really unfeasable as there are roads running either end that would have to be re-routed or tunnelled under. Cross-winds are not a very big issue in Cork as the wind is pred...

For NVidia systems you can have an SLI setup, with 2 matched cards. Each card will render alternate frames and display them consecutively on the monitor, but you will pay for the privilege. ATI now also offer Crossfire, a dual graphics card set-up. Be aware though that these often require more powe...

Hi Mark, Is there any way that you can approve new user registrations before they are allowed to access the board? That way you could block any dodgy looking usernames/email addresses. Is there a mod available for phpBB boards so that a new user is sent an email which they must reply to before conti...
