Re: Feedback - MCC Courses

Did mine at Simtech during the middle of last year. Have no complaints at all. The facilities there are top notch but you might want to bring your own lunch as I believe the sandwich van that calls round is a bit pricey. The first three days are supposed to be in the classroom but because the sim wa...

Re: Hi all im new :) Few questions

Also, if you're going out to Weston to talk to Flightwise, be sure to check out the other schools there as well (there are three fixed wing schools there as far as I'm aware - National Flight Centre, East Coast Flight Training and Flightwise). Shop around, check out their aircraft, their prices, get...

Re: VFR at Night

Sounds a bit odd to me that you cant fly VFR at night in Ireland . I hold a USA ppl and have to do whats called night currency , meaning once every 90 days I have to do 3 take offs and landings to full stop in order to be night current . If not then its just the same flight with an instructor to be...

Re: Visiting Ireland

Heading W along the south Donegal coast you will find Slieve League, the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Sorry hugoj_air, but I have to burst your bubble here and point out that Croaghaun on Achill Island are the tallest sea cliffs in Ireland and the UK (2,257ft) and not even they are are the tallest...

If you're going to make a broad statement like that, I would suggest you back it up with evidence.

Kinnitty Castle Deal

p.245 in the first edition of Aviators Guide to Ireland, you'll find Kinnitty Castle (a 440m x 20m grass strip) and this evening I just noticed that they have a deal on for a one (or two) night stay there through LivingSocial. So, I thought I'd put it out there in case someone fancied a nice little ...

Re: Class 1 Questions Again! (Recent feedback is what I need)

Do you have reason to doubt that you won't pass the Class 1? Or that you'll get a restriction on your licence? Or is just a general fear?
