See you there in September too Laura :( I missed Nav, I knew I would, but I got 60% in it for a subject I hadn't studied. I worked my ass off for Airlaw, and Aircraft General, and I still barely (And by barely, I mean a few percent) missed them. I was like an Antichrist at work all day today.

I think Laura was being sarcastic. The Human Performance and Limitations was ridiculous. 16 questions of the most basic type. No questions on Ears or Eyes. I think I did okay in Human Performance, Air Law, and with the Aircraft General. I definitely failed Nav/Met/Planning, but I knew that would hap...

Well, I'm skipping Flight Performance and Planning. I'm guessing this is the exam that incorporates Planning, Nav and Met. I took a week off from work to try and cram everything in, and I just don't have time left to cram these three subjects into a day. So I'll see everyone in the Hotel tomorrow ni...

Bomb scare in EIDW 04/07/07

Listening in to ATC, planes shutting down are being requested to keep their doors closed due to a security alert. RTE reports a man walked into arrivals claiming to have a bomb in his bag.

Well, I'm definitely worried now. I've made my way through half of the confuser, and I'd say about 30% of what's in there wasn't covered in ground school, nor is it on my oxford CDs. I'm just hoping the Confuser is being over cautious, and that the Irish PPL Exams won't be as stringent. No worries a...

Well, 4 full days to go, and I'm through Human Performance, and Aircraft General. Working through Airlaw now, and then onto Nav, I'm glad I have this week off from work. Still brickin' it though!

Unless you're driving that cool Cooper up I won't be drinking but I can meet up with some of you to whinge about the exams. lol, yes, the MINI will be pres...

The Morrison Hotel are doing B&B for the night before for ? 175 if anyone's interested. Would be cracking to get a few of us together for a slow few pints and dinner the night before, and not have to travel up that morning. I know Michael from Atlantic Flight Training is staying overnight too. S...

Well, I'll be driving up if anyone wants a lift. I'm contemplating booking into the Hotel itself the night before for a few relax drinks before it all kicks off. Any takers?

Anyone doing the PPL Exams on the 7th of July?

Myself, and a few of the boys down in Atlantic Flight Training are doing our Exams Friday Week in Dublin. Anyone else from here doing the same? I'm okay for Aeroplane Technical and Human Performance, BUT, I'm slightly worried about Flight Performance & Planning, and Airlaw. I've all next week of...

Aerobatics @ EICK tonight

Sweet jesus, tonight was incredible. Atlantic Flight Training had their annual Summer BBQ, and Eddie Goggin put on a spectacular show in his Extra 200. Eddie, what you can do in a plane is simply unbelieveable. Poor Laura was like a 2 year old at Christmas trying to catch it all on tape! Big thank y...

There seems to be a trend amongst certain doctors to send students for chest X-Rays. It is not required by the IAA to have one, lung capacity is all that's necessary. The medical I had was ridiculous. The hearing test didn't involve a headset and tone generator, rather the doctor asking "Can yo...
