Looks like Flightwise for me too but I still have to talk to Skytrace.

Would agree with Microheavy about club flying but I think that in Dublin at least you're better off getting the PPL with a school first.

Thanks for that Canacourse.

Yeah, I like the look of Flightwise and Adrian Carrie's reputation seems great.

I would say that they are number 1 on the list.

Thanks again

Hi folks, It looks like I have to move my training to Weston because the traveling and club (not saying where !) aircraft/instructor availability is becoming a problem. I always wanted to learn in a club atmosphere but I now realise that it takes too long and is becoming a bit frustrating. So, to my...

I'm probably gonna take that route too but aint I right in thinking that you'd have to sit the UK CAA exams for any of the US schools ?

I'd prefer to have all the exams out of the way before I go.

It cost me E180 with no Xray. You should only need a chest Xray if there is a problem indicated. As regards the criteria, check out Laura's post m It details almost exactly what I had to do. It's really no hassle, the main things are Eyesight and heart. I wear glasses and smoke the odd cigar and I d...

Class 2 medical

Hi folks, New to this place and find it very interesting and useful. I'm a newbie student and I'm about to go for my initial Class 2 medical. I was just wondering how tough it is and if anyone has any tips or recommendations. I have the JAR-FCL 3 info but I could spend the rest of me life reading it...
