You could try "Aviation pocketknife" it has weather, notams, x wind, converter and more. "Gps Essentials" also good, you can record tracks, make waypoints, and you can chart your altitude and speed along the way. The only problem I can forsee is, that the application for exams, has to be stamped by the FTO, stating that the student has completed a course of ground school studies. the date the application has to be in is the 5th nov , the course is only halfway through??

I dont know how simple a system you want, but if you have a relatively new nokia phone, such as a n97 or a e52 you could use its gps function, maps/my position and it will track your position, or simply insert your destination and the phone will give you a pointer, speed,distance to, and time to des...

Hi, the best place to get advice would be from the NMAi , national microlight association of ireland.
i think that training is now 35 hours in ROI, they have a website, www.nmai.ie i think,
