Would anyone know if the 900 hours per year limit used by airlines is inclusive of of private flying or is this counted separate? I would like to keep flying SEP's if possible.

Its an absolute scandal! They are making people fly full SIDS/STARS no shortcuts. In Cork today they would not file local flight plans as they have done for years! Keith. The IAA probally wont be able to sign a CAA licence but if you have the required hours for the revalidation and show them your logbook they should be able to sort out your new IAA licence.

I am hoping to do a tailwheel checkout when I have a bit more time. What clubs/schools currently do tailwheel checkouts?

Thanks for the replies. Went to the IAA today and they revalidated the SEP for me and I keep the 7th of April expiry date in 2012. The 3 month time restriction is a UK CAA limit.
