I would love to give it a go - but I don't know if I would be up to it. I'd say you would not keep her upside down for long before she'd blow.
Just googled it, no inverteted lube system. Is the one in tullamore for hire, and where does it operate from?

Microlight pipistrel crash lands

Just heard....Pipistrel microlight/motor glider crash landed short of Birr airfield. The craft hit trees 100 meters from treshold, missed houses and then a stone wall, by a few yards. No major injuries thank God.
Craft destroyed.
Does anyone know more ? ?

Best of luck UAI

Thanks for that Barry, and I wish you all best also. From what I'm hearing UAI are offering a very honest and professional service, that seems to be a fresh approach to aircraft maintanence in Ireland. If it takes UAI 40 hours to inspect a class A aircraft, do you think that a permit aircraft can no...

55 euro per hour?

Thanks all for your help. Surely it can not take 40 hours to inspect a 4 seat aircraft. 55x40= 2200 euro?? If Usher aviation is the cheapest... how many hours does it take the rest of them? They must have only one eye and one hand. Sounds crazy! How long does it take to inspect a permit craft?

Has anybody heard about a red x air that went down near Birr in Offaly last weekend. I heard it could have been engine failure. The air accident unit have been too busy in the past year. I hope all are ok.
