Re: Kilkenny Aerodrome - New Owner

The best of luck on another big step for Skydive Ireland. It has taken serious determination and commitment to bring this venture to where it is today. There were many hurdles along the way, but it is nice to see that all the adversity did not hold back the guys. I'll be flying in soon for a visit. I...

Re: Support Erinagh Airfield

Hi All, Just to keep you posted, I had some good news from An Board Planala today. As everyone knows the council have been on my case for 3 years now re the planning situation on EIER. Aircraft refuel Truck for sale

I have an aircraft refuel truck for sale. It holds 5000l avgas/mogas/jet A. It can be used for refueling and storing oil on an airfield or can be made road legal for road transportation. It comes an accurate metering system, filters and 40ft of refueling hose. It was certified up until last year for...

Re: Building your own grass strip??

Most of the legal advice you have received here is inaccurate. The exemption referred to does not allow for powered aircraft and that includes radio controlled miniatures. Go to "An Board Pleanala" web site and enter "airstrip" in the search and you will find out how others have faired out. Speaking...

Re: Support Erinagh Airfield

Hello all. EIER is closed for now to all traffic. I settled the high court case with local council out of court, but had to close the airfield as part of the settlement. The license was not revoked but rather cancelled by myself. Planning permission will now have to be sought and granted before any ...

Re: Support Erinagh Airfield

Hello All, Erinagh Airfield is still on the map. I've kept the license and the strip is maintained to a good standard.I have purchased the lands to the 24 end and this will allow access to the old N7 which is only 1km to the west. This land also gives scope to Improve safety as it extends my field b...
