My theory exams ran out in the November and I didn't get my PPL til the following May... I guess it depends on your situation, I applied for my test before they'd ran out but with one thing and another didn't get the test til May.

cool, thanks for all the advice everyone! i want to go to france for the co op anyway, how many people from the course get to go foreign? and how is co op placement chosen - is it like only those who are really good that get to go cool places? Are there many girls that do the course? What are you do...

UL aeronautical engineering

hey just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if the B Eng in Aeronautical Engineering at University of Limerick is good? Is it hard and is there loads of maths in it? And what are the good and bad points of the course? I'm trying to decide if I should do this or go a totally different route...

you can do the flight test when you are 16, you just can't get your licence until you're 17 as far as i know! :)

some red bull reps came to the flying club the other day, they actually said that if you have a pilots licence you can bring that with you and you'll get in if you couldn't get tickets. this includes spls as well apparently. thats what the reps said anyway.
