I should have guessed there was more to it, but I wasn't aware that he didn't/wouldn't cooperate with authorities in the subsequent investigation. I'm guessing that there's possibly also a bit of history between himself and the managment of the shopping centre, because you would otherwise imagine th...

Bear in mind that you may have trouble getting your hours logged if you're not operating from a licensed airfield.

Depending on the age of the 320 and whether or not the valves are suitable for running on Mogas it mightn't be that costly a conversion, since it's basically down to compression ratio, and changing it possibly through substituting different head gaskets.......but! However there is much more to be co...

Vortex Ring State, or Settling With Power, can occur when a helicopter inadvertently descends into its own vortices or "downwash." This situation disrupts the pressure differential that produces lift across the rotor blades. It occurs when the helicopter has three things occurring at the s...

tu154,

Thanks for your reply, and the info which is what I more or less expected the situation to be.

I don't suppose you know what airfields exist in the Louth/Meath area?

Flight Training from Private Landing Site ?

Can you do flight training in Ireland, with a CFI, from a private landing site, or does it have to be from a recognised airfield?

Heli1,

I have a feeling that you can't do training in Ireland in a Rotorway, and in the U.K too also....correct me if I'm wrong. It woulds a great way to do it if allowed.......unleaded fuel, to mention just one good point.

I'm looking for a CFI for private tuition in a R44 Raven. The work to be done intensively, yet flexible, in other words, lots of flying hours but yet could be flexible to fit in with his , or her, other commitments.

Any takers ????

A guy works all week in his job and tax is TAKEN from him, and then when he ges out to enjoy himself in his chosen hobby he's nailed AGAIN for another 21%. If you were to compound that.......aw I wo...
