Re: Adding PPL(M) onto a PPL(A) Licence
Thanks dhardiman,
5 hours seems reasonable enough - is the skills test performed by the instructor/CFI or is it performed by an examiner from the IAA?
Cheers,
Mixturerich.

Adding PPL(M) onto a PPL(A) Licence
Hi Folks, Just a quick question for you. What is required to add a PPL(M) rating on to a current PPL(A) rating? Would it just require a small number of hours in a fixed wing Microlight, for familiarisation purposes, or would it be something more? Also, I would take it that, in the final 12 months of...

rathvillyflying@gmail.com
Hi All,
I noticed an advert in this month's issue of Flying In Ireland magazine just giving an email address of Rathvillyflying@gmail.com. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this club? Does anyone know a contact number or website address?
Thanks.
Mixturerich.

Re: Galway Airport Sold
Hi all.
Do Executive Helicopters still operate out of Galway Airport?
Are they still carrying PPL(H) training on the R22's?
Cheers.

Query about radio frequency setting
Hi folks, I have a query about com radios in aircraft that can be set to two decimal places. For example, you can set a frequency like 123.45. But if you are advised to go to frequency 131.125, can this be achieved using a radio that has only frequency ability to 2 decimal places? Thanks, Mixturerich.

Skydemon Mobile GPS - any advice?
Hi Folks, I am considering buying a GPS unit and was leaning towards the Garmin Aera 500. However, I came across an article lately about the Skydemon Mobile GPS and it seems like a very good unit (same price bracket as the Aera 500). I was wondering if anyone on the forum had any experience of the S...

IAA - Conversion of National PPL(A) license to EASA
Hi Folks, I received a letter from IAA last Monday advising me, as a National PPL(A) holder, to convert to EASA license. The letter included the following: "JAR licences issued before 8th April 2012, that are fully compliant with JAR-FCL, will automatically become EASA licences on 8th April 2012. Na...
