Nick has the right idea. Check the NOTAMs for the times when the tower closes. When they close the Galway CTR reverts to Class G -then you can do as much sight seeing as you want. +1 to the above post. Inverin is strictly PPR. The landing fees have increased to circa €45/50 for fixed wing and I think it's in the region of 100 bucks for helis. After the terrible 208 accident Aer Arann just don't want to deal with private flights and GA. It's not that they're being unfriendly, ...

If you're so mentally deficient that you don't 'tell anyone' about a bird strike, you deserve to have your ass handed to you by the IAA.

If you decide to blab about this over an open frequency you shouldn't be let out of the house in the morning, let alone fly an aircraft.
