It is most definitely still operating! Just not operating out of EICM he has his own strip in Tuam, pm me if anybody wants details for Skywest or the flying club.

I read that in the star so it may not be fully factual! but it did say they used the oxygen masks and the cabin crew felt "uneasy" and "queasy" 20 minutes after they lifted off they were back on the ground! A relatively new plane also.

...They do atc training in Bristol too, is it the same place? Could I get a link please, I know a controller in EICM did his theory and simulation there.

Thats right.....using the Arann callsign. I tuned in around 9:45 this morning when it passed the house on short finals for 26 and the callsign was REA27G

Other options for you if you just want a trial lesson is give skywest a call, they still operate out of galway airport despite what other people have said in this form! cool, so you have their number? I heard they're closed too and he hasnt been flying in ages....are you sure their still open? Darr...

well....on aer aranns site, there are vacancies for first officers and captains, seperate things! sorry for the confusion, a misinterpretation of the job advert on my part. Thought it said it didn't require an atpl for co-pilot.

Career in aviation

Hello all,
I would like to pursue a career in aviation, ie. first officer or at because I will not pass the medical to become a pilot.

Just wondering what the pay is like for first officers in comparison to a pilot etc.

I would highly recommend it!, I met a lot of irish on fsx too on multi-player, it can be very realistic. I am more of an atc kind of guy but I do fly sometimes, I know some great controllers there. Also, if you want, www.vateir.com in conjunction with ifsd.ie ( i think thats the name of the site) ru...

What is the required medical for persuing a career in atc? I mainly want to know what the eyesight requirements are?
