Guys, Anyone see 3 lights in triangular formation over Dublin last Friday night 23rd? they were orange lights, looked about 500-1000' and travelling about 60-70 kts or so. You can do an IR(H) and a multi rating (A109) with Bluestar Helicopters in Cork and Premier Helis in Dublin. When I say 'you can' I mean 'it is possible' I know both places are very busy with commerical flying and heli management, so whether or not they will take you on is another story.
I agree, the answer is no. Having said that some schools may have a school rule, where they have a 20hr min for solo circuits for example, so although you can go solo before 20 hours, you can't go solo in the circuit until hour 20. They say it cuts out competition between students/instructors.
