Re: PPL Exams

Hi Left Seat, You have to be enrolled in and complete an authorised ground school course before you can take the PPL exams. My advice is to go out to the school and talk to them to see what they recommend. and I'd also recommend taking a few lessons to see if you actually like it before you go spend...

Re: PPL study technique

Hi Johnc24, Are you enrolled in a flight school anywhere or are you club flying? I'm presuming from the fact that you've got the class 1 that you're intending to go commercial and if so you'll have to train with a school, ie NFC. I'd personally just read through the Trevor Thom books, and enrol in t...

Re: Hour building - How many per day is reasonable.

Hi Yahweh, I agree with Glenn, you can't beat flying around America at this time of year! I didn't personally fly with Sunstate, but a friend of mine did while I was there. Their setup and planes all looked pretty good and well spec'ed. We rented off Palm Beach Flight Training in West Palm Beach. I ...

Is Tramore not a bit close to the Airport? I'm sure they've got a plan!

Sounds like a great plan though! Hope it comes together!

I agree completely with Flyer 1! Get in the air as often as you can! Anyone flying with a spare seat will let you come along!!! I find flying with others is still very beneficial to me and it always breeds discussion after the flight when you inevitably do something differently! And if you see somet...

As far as I know, the difference between an Airport and an Aerodrome is aircraft movements???? Correct me if I'm wrong though!

Was there not a thread about weston changing from Aerodrome to Airport and someone said it was because of the amount of Daily A/C movements?

Hi Romeo Sierra, I agree with Sierra Papa, Keep at it! Theres nothing like the feeling of the first flight on your own licence and bringing the first passenger with you! Its a feeling I'll never forget! The weather in Ireland is a heart breaker! I'm hour building towards the CPL at the moment and it...

Hi Lads, I don't know if this is common knowledge, but I've been flying from weston for over 2 years now and only came across it the other day! The start details their policies and procedures blah blah blah..... but the second part of the video contains animated details of all approaches and departu...

Hi Lads,

Would anyone be able to post as many of the ATIS phone numbers as they can?

I've got the weston one and I know there were a few in a FII magazine recently but I can't find them!

Very handy to have!

Cheers!
