Just found out the Tornado developed engine trouble so is at EINN for the next few days. Ahh.... that explains it so. It's a Luftwaffe tonka anyway - had a peek at her with the binocs this morning. If it WAS here for a spin over Galway they would have had to get the bucket and sponge out coz she's ...

2 A4 Skyhawks

Hi all,
Just to let ye know there are 2 A4 Skyhawks sitting pretty in the light-aircraft park in Shannon.

They were being refuelled there a minute ago, so I doubt they'll be there for long.... hope I get to see them leave :o

"Plane barely survives 20,000 feet freefall "

Dunno how credible this story is, but the pictures speak for themselves ! A change of shorts were in order after this one I'd imagine. Tough as nails them Kingairs! m "Whether they initiated a rapid descent or lost control and ended up in a steep dive is not known, as the two pilots have little...

........and that necessitates evacuating everyone from buildings near the perimeter of the airfield? There are over 400 staff in our building alone ; some people were quite shaken over the whole affair(we were given less 4 minutes warning). Why all the fuss? I've seen a Connie Kalita 747 freighter (...

Evac. at Shannon this morning

Anybody have info. on why the major panic at SNN this morning? We were order to evacuate the building (building is next-door to the boundry fence) by the Gardai.....which I though was odd since umpteen 'emergencies' have come through Shannon without this much of a panic. A C-17 landed shortly afterw...

No didn't notice the reg. It was parked on the 'secure' taxiway/area opposite the terminal where the C130s usually park, and I spotted it from the perimiter.

Although as far as I can gather they only have the 1 747SP (N4522V), so I'd take a stab that it's that one.

747SP In Shannon

Spotted around midday today at Shannon. Globabl Peace Ambassadors 747SP. Picking up humanitarian aid for Asia or transiting with same I'd imagine.

Hi all, Just as a footnote on the N222wx. I'm 99% sure that it's former identity is EI-BOR, Westair's Bell 222 which was based in Shannon for as far back as I can remember. It was re-reg'd and went off to the UK a while back. Obviously it's back in our skies again! Many happy memories in that partic...
