Just found out the Tornado developed engine trouble so is at EINN for the next few days. Ahh.... that explains it so. It's a Luftwaffe tonka anyway - had a peek at her with the binocs this morning. Hi all,
Just to let ye know there are 2 A4 Skyhawks sitting pretty in the light-aircraft park in Shannon.

They were being refuelled there a minute ago, so I doubt they'll be there for long.... hope I get to see them leave :o

Evac. at Shannon this morning

Anybody have info. on why the major panic at SNN this morning? We were order to evacuate the building (building is next-door to the boundry fence) by the Gardai.....which I though was odd since umpteen 'emergencies' have come through Shannon without this much of a panic. A C-17 landed shortly afterw...

No didn't notice the reg. It was parked on the 'secure' taxiway/area opposite the terminal where the C130s usually park, and I spotted it from the perimiter.

Although as far as I can gather they only have the 1 747SP (N4522V), so I'd take a stab that it's that one.

Spotted around midday today at Shannon. Globabl Peace Ambassadors 747SP. Picking up humanitarian aid for Asia or transiting with same I'd imagine.

Hi all, Just as a footnote on the N222wx. I'm 99% sure that it's former identity is EI-BOR, Westair's Bell 222 which was based in Shannon for as far back as I can remember. It was re-reg'd and went off to the UK a while back. Obviously it's back in our skies again! Many happy memories in that partic...
