VOR is fine for the operations that will be carried out. No, No Reg. didnt make contact. I did find out by someone else who called inbound about 10 mins after the incident that they we aware of the heli as they were monitoring shannon outside the area. the aircraft was tracking from shannon so a plan would have been filed and so easily traceable.
